Copyright – building blocks and aiming for the clouds
We all recognize the © mark. We all know that it relates to some copyrighted content. But do we really understand what it means? What is protected and what is not? What action requires permission and what action does not? We will first lay down the building blocks. They will then lead us to talk and make sense out of the world of software licenses and to work through the challenges that copyright law creates for web and network based services. This session will also serve us for a subsequent session about open source and free software.
