    Naor,

I had no idea that it would end after 19:00 o'clock, and I had to leave because of an obloigation, sorry for that...

Anyway, the lecture was great, with a lot of useful tips, and it was nice to meet you face-to-face finally.

    Thanks!

To all the cloud users you should check DigitalOcean amazing prices starting from $5/m a server! And it runs on SSD only - http://ow.ly/mtbyG

Here in Israel, the local provider (Triple-C) is very popular, and it takes the #2 (after Amazon).

I'll be grateful if the data and benchmarks can include Triple-C.

I know that it's a little late to change the lecture, but from my impression, Triple-C has more Israeli customers than Softlayer, GoGrid, Rackspace, Linode and ProfitBricks TOGETHER!

I don't know if Triple-C succeeds thanks to objective parameters, or just because they are Israelis (so you can call them anytime you want, speak with them in Hebrew, etc.), but it doesn't matter and doesn't affect their popularity.

It will be great to see a head-to-head comparison between Amazon and Triple-C.

    Thanks in any case!

Ran, as Naor wrote, I'm not working for CCC and can't provide you with data. I know AWS quite well and I know that AWS is huge - actually I'm their first user in Israel (I think it was in 2005). And everybody agrees that CCC is tiny. But ignoring them is like lecturing about Corn-Flakes in Israel and ignoring Telma, claiming that Telma is tiny in comparison with Kelloggs, which is right but irrelevant. In any case, I'm sure it's going to be a very interesting lecture!
      Thanks Naor!

I would be happy if for this meeting we can raise how to evaluate the ROI and TCO, specially when we are dealing with the big providers (Azure, AWS, IBM, Rackspace).

    June 20, 2013

    • Naor W.

Hi Shai, we will be addressing TCO issues as part of offerings evaluation and from TCO you can calculate ROI.
