Too much marketing content, too little technical stuff

    • Efri N.

I agree with Nati. Keynotes were concise, and gave a good overview of what and where, as well as some of the why. It gave up to date info, and references to more info. This is what I'd expect from opening sessions. Florian - thanks for the heart-warming opening, as well as the well articulated session! For the next time I suggest to be more optimistic about those areas covered in room 3 - they were overcrowded.

Thanks for the kind words, Efri. :)

Special thanks for Florian Haas for a very touching speech in Hebrew and for the excellent talk! Were happy to have you here. Good luck in the training..

Thanks to the organizers for bringing us closer to the OpenStack community.
I think the developer community is vibrant in Israel, and would encourage more events geared towards that. Stratoscale would be able to sponsor as well.
    We're hiring OpenStack developers BTW.

It was a good event, with diverse talks, but I was left with the impression of trying to grasp too much.
Three tracks was too much - both from logistics, some of the rooms were too small, and also from crowd and focus.

Florian :- Thanks for the update. :-) Yes saw it 2~3 days back. Too expensive for me. I have canceled my plan to attend this event. I realized that it would be an expensive deal for me to come all the way from India on my own. Our company is on CloudStack [ for some customers ] but seems like they don't want to send any infrastructure admin to attend such events to get involved in OpenStack. Being from Telecom sector Cisco,Nortel,Bell Aliant are our indirect customers. :-)

In India their is OpenStack group but the problem is they are just talking from point of developers. And I am not a developer ha!! I am responsible to provide/provision them infrastructure to be able to run OpenStack/CloudStack/vmware on hybrid technologies.

Great to see there is so much demand :)
Florian and Avner will probably be able to answer regarding the training.
And I would like to personally recommend Florian as the instructor. It's a win!

  • Amir Dafny M.

Are there additional dates for the training later in 2014?

    November 26, 2013

    • Sharone Z.

Not as of yet...but if you have a number of people interested, we can look into having another session. This is going to be a good one though...Florian Haas of hastexo will be giving the training, so you won't want to miss it!

      November 25, 2013

  • Roy F.

Will this event be in Ivrit or English?

    November 25, 2013

    • Florian H.

Talks are in English, so is the 3-day OpenStack class that is being offered immediately after (I should know -- I'm teaching it :) ). Conversations are obviously in any language that people are comfortable with.

      1 · November 25, 2013

    • Roy F.

I've learnt that I can't just assume from the language that the event is advertised in, so I appreciate your response.

Seems like no sponsor's. :-( 1 information required hope some 1 can answer:- If I manage to come there on my own, I need 1 information. I think it's חֲנֻכָּה time just before the summit. Major transportation hubs etc in Israel remains closed or what by 09 December? And if I manage to gather enough funding on my own, from whom can I get invitation letter to attend this summit? I need to show the invitation letter for the summit while applying for Israel visa from Israel embassy in Mumbai.,India.

    October 13, 2013

    • Sharone Z.

Chanuka will not shut down transportation in Israel, so that shouldn't be a concern, you will be able to travel regularly. The organizing staff will be able to provide a short letter as needed. The event is free of charge, so all you need to do is RSVP. Thanks for the interest. Hope you can make it out.

      October 13, 2013

  • Amey A.

If some sponsors can bare half of my air fare, I am really interested to attend this event. I reside in India.
