Meetup had a great mix of technology/tools + case studies. I was also impressed by the quality of presentation. Kudos also to the organizers, especially Sharone.

My only suggestion is that in the future to ask attendees to commit to tracks during sign-up so as to avoid space availability issues.

Excellent content, presentations and speakers! Well organized, great atmosphere and near-perfect venue (the smaller presentation room was a bit crowded, but I guess there were more attendees than expected). Truly one of the best events I can remember in Israel. Kudos!

  • Seva F.

Folks thanks a lot for the event! It's rare today to have such operation setup done in a such good way!

I wanna share my vision regarding big Q was asked during panel session - NoOps/PaaS and DevOps products/people:
This particular topic was troubling my mind for few hours yesterday ev.
The operation will never die it just will change the name and the face.
The big data we are experiencing on public clouds is a bit in a sea of global data. Most of the data in the world can't be placed on public cloud - Healh, Banks, Insurance and etc. I believe the future is in Hybrid clouds and smarter resource management. PaaS majority in enterprise will remain being private. Companies like HP and IBM already developing and implementing Orchestration frameworks like OO and BPM based solutions. The latest Netflix outage will explain why companies which income depends on availability and data sensitivity will choose Hybrid cloud solutions.

Loved the professional track, Even if it got such a tiny room, but war stories are the best.

And btw, not just success stories! Wonga's failure stories are extremely important to hear and I appreciate them very much for sharing this. It's definitely a game changer when you get to hear the details on a less-than-perfect post-mortem.

Excellent conference! I was a bit surprised and encouraged to learn that most DevOps are actually developers and not operations guys. Hopefully this marks a new era where operations and development are not enemies but allies.

Is there any arrangement or recommendation regarding parking?

    1 · January 27, 2013

    • Sharone Z.

No specific arrangement. There are plenty of parking lots in the area, so it shouldn't be an issue.
