Awesome street art tours are soon coming to this space, and to a wider London audience. And while we’re working on setting that up, we’re going to have some free exclusive trial rounds for you. First one will be on December 1st, and will be guided by our very own Jamie Ryle, IKWIL tour leader.
So starting 11AM on the day, Jamie will take you on a walking tour of Leake Street Tunnel, site of Banksy’s legendary Cans Festival and also a highly prolific spot for writers. Meeting is at Waterloo Station under the clock by the exit, but you can also reach Jamie at 07870514471 if you have trouble finding the group. Don't be late.
Chances are you’ll be running into artists spraying pieces, but Jamie will bring some materials along so you can also have a go at that!
The tunnel itself is one of the most regularly sprayed bits of wall in all of London, and the layered variations and colours of the artwork are something to dwell on and savour.
After visiting the tunnel, Jamie will also take you to the skate park in front of the Royal Festival Hall, where you’ll get to see more excellent fresh art, as well as some top political stencils.
This is just a teaser for a series we’re starting, so make sure you keep an eye on this space. Good things lie ahead.
