Marge and I finally decided we are heading up Saturday and will stay the night due to time change, ugh, we loose an hour! Last call to take over my Friday night hotel reservation! Room and parking is $125 a night plus taxes for 2 persons (extra person $12), this includes breakfast for a deluxe room.
Anyone who wants to join us for dinner please let us know. I heard the Great Dane is excellent downtown, maybe lunch there? http://www.greatdanepub.com/ - Marge recommends a Japanese resturant as well, maybe dinner there.
Anyone who also wants to do the parade as a group please comment as well and I suggest we all give phone numbers. If you don't want to post it you could send an email to either Abi, Marge or Myself. Mine is [masked] and I mainly text so that is best way to send me your number and contact me.

Hey guys! I just wanted to let you know that my husband and I will be wearing SAS sweatshirts (grey and red colored) so you can find us. Also, at the lunch break, I will hold up a sign with our logo on it so that we all may find each other and eat together. Oh, and don't forget to make signs if you plan to attend the pride parade on Saturday. See you there Saturday!

there are some housing cooperatives in the area that may be up for some people crashing on couches, floors.. i lived in one of them for a while.. if anyone is interested i can paint them in the right direction.. they usually require advance notice.. they don't charge money but do ask for donations if you eat the food (approx 3 bux a day)

There is a chance I will not be using the room I reserved at the Lowell Center. I should make my decision towards the end of the week so if you have interest in possibly taking this reservation over before I cancel please contact me. I will have a definite answer sometime next week. I have up till Friday to cancel this room. I am also interested in a carpool for one day if anyone is interested or going just for a day trip vs lodging.

Hey, I just registered. It took about a minute. Thanks, Abi and Ms Monkey! I have reserved two rooms at the Best Western. Rooms are filling up fast, so if you are thinking about going, you should reserve ASAP. Just be sure it has "free cancellation." The BW has good rates and is about 15 minutes SW of the festival.

Hi All, the Lowell Center is a convention center and hotel. I booked a room there for 2 nights and Marge is changing her reservation as well. The deluxe room is $234 for 2 nights for 2 persons, $12 extra per person per night and it includes breakfast. There is an additional parking fee. They did not have a discounted rate for the festival but I did email the coordinator to see if they were planning on trying to get a group rate. I would suggest reserving a room ASAP if you wanted one for yourself.

Thanks! Attention all planning to attend: You MUST go to this website (http://freethoughtfestival.org/) and register or you WILL NOT be let in. Remember, this event is FREE! :)
Click on the "Schedule" tab to see what the planned speakers, times, and themes will be for each day. Lunch will be from 11AM-1PM and most likely we will stay on the UW campus to eat (that way you don't have to get your car out of the paid garages). There are many restaurant choices as well as little shops to visit nearby.
Personally, I think my husband and I will attend Friday-Saturday and stay in a hotel. I also like to take notes during the lectures.
