Introduction to Agile & Scrum

Due to a long waiting list in today's (11/11) Agile meetup, Plimus will host another one next week.

Speaker: Elad Sofer

The (not so) latest buzz in the s/w industry is Agile & Scrum, but there is much more to it than a buzz. And don't let anyone tell you otherwise ;)
In this talk i will explain the origins of agile, the paradigm shift and the motivation to consider a more agile approach to s/w development.
It will cover the basics of Agile and Scrum, The agile manifesto, the roles, ceremonies and artifact defined in Scrum.
The talk takes about 1.5 hours including short time for discussion.

About me: I am an experienced software engineer, with both training and coaching experience.
You can find out more about me and my opinions by joining the "Scrum practitioners Israel" group on linkedIn or by visiting my blog (in Hebrew)

I agree with others that Pivotal tracker is not bad, you might want to look at Targetprocess as well.

Elad, thanks for a great presentation. I was so sorry we had to come late, and leave early... Despite saying no tools are very good, can you still recommend Scrum tools you know get the work done? We need to go beyond sticky notes and white boards to allow remote team members collaboration.
