Everything you wanted to know about PostgreSQL 9.2

Speaker: Reuven M. Lerner (Session will be given in English)

PostgreSQL, which just announced its 9.2 release in September, is often known as "the other" open-source relational database. True, it isn't as well known as MySQL. But PostgreSQL has an amazing array of features, designed to provide you with flexible, trustworthy, and speedy data storage. In this talk, I introduce some of the more interesting features of PostgreSQL, including custom data types, constraints, triggers, server-side functions (written in a variety of languages), and backup possibilities. Even if you don't use PostgreSQL, you'll likely come away impressed by what it can offer, and why so many people are moving to it from both open-source and commercial alternatives.
