It is most unfortunate that the Windows 8 event was cancelled so close to the event start - but we (the Directors) responded to a public request by Mayor Ford that had just been released. We do not control the weather - we can only do our best to estimate what an evening will bring and make a go/no-go decision. When Mayor Ford made his request we responded as quickly as we could - and the Directors have no doubt that we made the proper decision. Your safety is a concern for us as well as any benefit that the events hold for you. We will continue to do our best to ensure adequate notice to our members. 4 hours is not an unreasonable number to meet. With the coming of Winter and bad weather - we will test that out.
