IT Professionals, Webmasters/Others for Community Networking Monthly Meetup

**ALERT on TRANSPORTATION: Due to Presidential Inauguration security, no cars will be allowed between 2nd and 15th street NW, DC, so come earlier by Metro (subway) red line, Gallery Place/Chinatown exit, 7 and H Street, Chinatown exit. This event will take place as usual, Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013 from 12:30pm to 2:30pm, same place and time.**

This event is primarily a combined Networking event. EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED!This is a place to meet prospective clients and business associates. You'll meet new friends who may be able to refer you, learn about what nonprofit organizations are looking for, share your expertise as a webmaster, IT business owner or web technology specialist and practice relationship and marketing skills for overall career development and community support.

Being successful as a webmaster or IT business owner involves understanding where others are coming from, especially people who are not IT pros. This is the place to become familiar with what it involves to become more than a webmaster, to become a great communicator, master contributor and to be invited to join new projects as a revenue sharing partner.

The right brain does not work in a linear logical left brain fashion. It works more like a scanner, gaining more information with each scan or conversation. Commitment, interest, relationship skills, stability and emotional intelligence are reflected over time with consistent participation as a member of the co-organizing committee for free community networking events. Express your interest to volunteer, demonstrate your capabilities and build comfort level with new prospects to move ahead with an entrepreneurial spirit.

The first step is to get to know each other better to see if we are ready to work together harmoniously with appreciation, forgiveness and understanding. These monthly community events provide opportunities to develop more allies and to connect with others interested in similar topics. Express your interest to the co-organizers and followup.

WHEN: 12:30PM TO 2:30PM on the third Sundays of each month.

This is a wonderful D.C. economic, personal and community development group, we welcome you! Some of us will be from,, and others.

It was so much fun. There was lots of diversity. It was awesome. There were lots of IT people, some looking for business, some people looking for people to hire, and some just want to share ideas. Whatever you are looking for you will find it at this meetup.
