Usability principles and design patterns are used to guide and improve the experience of a product or service for its end users. But what happens when these UX conventions are abused for strategic gain? HCI/d student Jared Forney will lead a brief group activity and roundtable discussion about Dark Patterns, interactions designed to mislead and manipulate, and what they can teach us about users and the power of persuasion.
If you have an IU E parking pass, you may park in any A or C space after 5pm. By the time this event starts, there should be plenty of spots available in the east parking lot.
