Introduction

I have been kayaking for years but I often had trouble finding other paddlers. I figured there were others out there with the same problem. That is one of the reasons I started this group.

Do you own a kayak or canoe?

Yes. The boat I use most often is a Perception Carolina 14.5, but I have several other rental boats to which I have access.

Do you rate yourself as a beginner, intermediate or expert paddler?

Paul, I just learned that I have to go attend to a military issue in NW Indiana so will not be able to attend our hike. Looks like you will get great weather for it. Really sorry to miss this one. Joyce

We'd like to join the group for the upcoming hike @ Shades but not sure my 5 & 7 y/o will be able to make it. We've been hiking @ Turkey Run along Sugar Creek, is the planned trail @ Shades similiar? If so, enjoy! & we'll catch up with the group another time.

Thanks Paul. I'm looking forward to kayaking with this group when I can. I belong to the Louisville group, but I noticed that IYAK sometimes hosts paddles in the southern part of the State. My husband and I have paddled at several places in Indiana and we would be interested in leading an event.

Paul, it was good to see hotos from the trip this past Sat. I worked out my issues with transporting my kayak, so next time I will be able to just tie down and hit the road. Good photos from your trip.
