Innovation Lunch: Automate This: How Algorithms Came to Rule our World

Hi All:

A critical part of innovation and creativity is the raw material of ideas from subjects you don't normally pursue.  For today's lunch I will be sharing with you a summary of a book on software "bots" and how they have become integral in many areas of our society.

Listed below are a couple of book reviews published last year.

Business week: http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2012-09-06/book-review-automate-this-by-christopher-steiner
WSJ: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10000872396390443686004577633491013088640.html

The book is available on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Automate-This-Algorithms-Came-World/dp/1591844924/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1380573595&sr=1-1&keywords=automate+this

I have a one-page summary diagram of the book to guide our discussion.  Join us to find out some new ideas from the world of software "bots".
