Interested in Street Photography?
Have you been to a Chinese New Year celebration?
For color and action you can not match the Chinese New Year parade day in Boston's Chinatown Neighborhood. 2014 is the year of the Horse and it is celebrated on Sunday , February 9.
For this meet-up we will gather before the action starts in the CHINATOWN PARK (near the Chinatown Gate) for a group conversation about street photography. From there we will move into the crowd, follow the parade and watch the traditional Lion Dances, for a couple of hours of street photo action.
ABOUT STREET PHOTOGRAPHY
The tradition of street photography goes back to the origins of photography. Making candid, documentary style images of fleeting moments is an art form in itself. In this workshop I will share the tips and techniques for capturing those slice of life moments.
Prior to the event I will send you a workshop guide (A PDF sent via EMAIL) that covers street photo techniques and suggestions to prepare for the shoot. The celebration runs from 11 to 5 pm- Our event begins at 10:30 and goes to 1:00 pm (you are welcome to stay longer)
I will present a short class session and be on hand to coach your photography
