Hi Yen!!! I'm so sorry i've been MIA, but I joined another meetup group, and got kicked out the next day. It left me feeling pretty miserable about trying to go to anymore meetups. But, i'm going to try a new attitude towards life in 2014. So, i'm trying again :)
Welcome to "Fans of Capitalism", Yen! Look forward to seeing you at some of our upcoming events, even though this meetup never goes to Chinese restaurants!
fun talking with ya!
Thanks for the #, Yen. So has a day and time been confirmed?
The organizer of this group, Sven, got nasty with me when I asked him three ago if he could hold these meetings in wheelchair accessible locations after the first one I had signed up for but couldn't attend because there were steps.I even suggested a location right next door.
Could you ask him to be sure the location is accessible this time?
Thank you Yen. It was nice to meet you too. Keep in touch, I'll keep you updated on what goes on up here.
PART 3 of Frank's comment
But even in America the laws often have to be amended to accommodate a newly evolving, more enlightened morality.
Frank's comment part 2 - This site is excruciating!!
Of course, morality informs the law many times as it did in orchestrating the civil rights legislation in the sixties. But the law itself gave the morality of the legislation a cache vis a vis the arm of Federal law. For many the morality is enough but there are not a few who need the arm of the law to do the right thing. The problem is when the law does the wrong thing as in totalitarian/fascist countries.
