IMPROV FOR ACTORS - What's in a Character? - Part 2
This "pay what you can" Improve with Improv Workshop is the second of two workshops that will focus on character work. You can attend this workshop even if you missed Part 1.
You will learn techniques that will enable you to discover the voice, body, emotional life and history of a character with ease. you will learn to "get out of the way" of the character so you can discover, rather than contrive, who the character is.
A fun safe and non-competitive environment is created in which each participant will learn how to work through inhibitions and tap into their imaginations.
THE BENEFITS OF IMPROV
Improv can help you reduce stage fright, perform with more ease, increase your emotional range, build rapport with your scene partners, and have more fun on stage.
Many actors get “stuck in their heads” and as a result feel paralyzed and/or disconnected when performing. Improv skills give the actor tools that will get them out of their heads and into the scene.
