Improv for Actors - There's No "I" in Ensemble

IMPROV FOR ACTORS - There's No "I" in Ensemble

This Improve with Improv workshop will focus on working as an ensemble. Whether you're playing a principal role, a supportive role, or even if you're off stage, you are still part of a team and have a role to play.

You will engage in group exercises, games and scenes that train the performer to give and take the spotlight, to stay engaged and involved in what is going on on stage, and to work as a team.

A fun safe and non-competitive environment is created in which each participant will learn how to work through inhibitions and tap into their imaginations.

Suggested Donation: $15 (most improv classes in NYC cost $35 per session or more)

Improv can help you reduce stage fright, perform with more ease, increase your emotional range, build rapport with your scene partners, and have more fun on stage.

Many actors get “stuck in their heads” and as a result feel paralyzed and/or disconnected when performing. Improv skills give the actor tools that will get them out of their heads and into the scene.

I had a great time I class today as always. Thank you Susan! I really hope we get to do the counting exercise again. It was very helpful in learning how to be aware and knowing when it is your turn

I got the message too late for a spot opening up to attend! Looking forward to it next week and would have loved to be there tonight.
