Hong KongHong Kong
October 5, 2012
Australian living in Beijing for 5 years, currently working onscreen in TVC, series and flm but basically developing my own indie film set in Hong Kong in December with an oily rag budget. Great response so far from HK and foreign actors and crew.
Actor in Australia for 12 years, now in Beijing. Writer and 1st time feature producer, have been director, camera OP, sound boom OP and worked on over 100 TVC, film and series.
Plenty of experience but had 10 years off doing other business, now back to where my heart is trying to make motion pictures. Been involved in all from TV series, feature film and doco stuff.
I would like to establish a great relationship with those who want to learn, keep up with new tech and produce then distribute mainstream and experimental work globally for TV, cinema and online.
Up's and downs but I think it's on an upswing. OK , Ill roll with this comment.
Dear Mr. Russell: Thanks again for joining and introducing your beautiful piece to us (at HKVMPS). We hope to see you on any of our setted-event (per calendar). All the best on your upcoming casting in China. Kind regards
thanks. I look forward to seeing it. Are you mostly in Sydney or Beijing?
OK nice to meet you!
Rusell, I am gonna hold an event where I will explain about starting a new business. Here is the link.
I read your post and I believe you would be interested. The seminar is free of charge and please feel free to bring your friends!
Exactly. That's why I need a writer to bounce the ideas off each other and create a synergy. if not, then I'll write the piece. It's just great to see ideas flowing between two people and get them down in black and white. I want this to be a full-on planned production with storyboards and a shooting schedule that is planned and finely tuned. I am willing to wait. I think it will go well on the indie circuit or Hollywood.
I have the synopsis on my Ipad. If you're interested in helping me get it written we can talk over a video chat or a meetup. I think you will like the concept. I'm not much for the writing: It gets lost when I sit down and try to write. Probably due to poor typing skills.
I'm full of great movie ideas, scenarios and little bits of dialog. This one comes from an idea where a friend and I were discussing my movie idea, but realized if we were to make the movie out here in HK, I would need too much open space and CGI so I came up with the "Black Ops" spoof. It has a MI5 agent getting killed like in the beginning of "Triple X" and some characterization like "Hong Kong Hustle" action like Jackie Chan and with a MI5 agent much like the lead from "Hitman."
Hi Russell, thank you, I look forward to some interesting meet-ups!
