Life Itself, then discussion at El Greco Cafe

A documentary film that recounts the inspiring and entertaining life of world-renowned film critic and social commentator Roger Ebert - a story that is by turns personal, funny, painful, and transcendent. Based on his bestselling memoir of the same name, LIFE ITSELF, explores the legacy of Roger Ebert's life, from his Pulitzer Prize-winning film criticism at the Chicago Sun-Times to becoming one of the most influential cultural voices in America. R, 1 hr. 52 min.

After movie... We'll gather outside cinema briefly then walk to El Greco Cafe for discussion. 1592 Main Street. Just a half mile walk.

The movie was a fascinating look into the life of Roger Ebert. He wasn't afraid to share footage of himself after the surgery which removed his jaw. He typed and smiled and still had so much to say!

Such a tender story of a brilliant man's life and accomplishments. It evoked every emotion and made for a very lively dinner conversation. El Greco was delicious. Thumbs up!

Welcome. I was thinking El Greco--it's fine with big groups, prices reasonable.....
