Dear Members, If you are free this Sunday, 5th of December, you are invited to attend a fun filled feast and bazzar from 12-4pm A full Indian Vegetarian meal will be served for $10.00, for those who are interesting in lunching. We will be featuring Indian articles brought back from our recent trip to India. Katherine, a dear photographer friend of mine captured all our memorable moments to share with you through the music and slide show she will be presenting. Most importantly, there will be local artists selling their treasures for a community inspired Christmas season. Some of the featured items are; jewlery, clothing, beauty products, spice boxes, art, gourmet tamales, freshly baked Christmas cookies, and so much more! The event will be held at 3765 Torino Drive. If you can rsvp, it would be ideal. Feel free to invite your family and friends. Namaste
We often love to share Indian Vegetarian Cooking with friends. And thought a wonderful meetup would create fun and memorable culinary experiences by creating deliciously Indian cooking classes. Our hope is to create a theme menu and together we will prepare the meals. This will be a great opportunity to meet new people and expand your repertoire.
We will meet at a home in Santa Barbara, and enjoy appetizers while preparing the meal. Ingredients and equipments are provided and after we have finished cooking, we sit down and enjoy the full meal that we prepared. Feel free to bring wine or anything else to enjoy with the meal. Each cooking event will be about $30 - $50 (depending on the menu) and 2-5 hours duration.
Our goal is to bring a group of people together to cook and eat delicious foods and make new friends. Each Meetup cooking class will be based on a theme: either region or seasonal and local produce.
Some of the dishes we will prepare could include: Lassi, Chai, Cachumbar, Potato Vadas, Green Chutney, Mung Beans, Green Bean Cocunut Curry, , Bhengan Bharta, Puris and many more...
