SCCM Unified Device Management and Windows Intune

Dear IWUG’rs,

We are back with another edition of IWUG. Couple of months ago we asked you to vote on a topic interest poll and you chose SCCM as the top most requested topic. So, we are delivering this Thursday, SCCM in all its glory. We will be talking about Unified Device Management and Intune using SCCM. Also, we will be covering new features of SCCM 2012 R2 like Workplace Join and Work Folder demos. We will also talk about deploying Direct Access and managing clients through SCCM and doing OS upgrades via a DA connection.

Microsoft focusing on Windows Client, Config Manager, MDOP, and Windows Intune.
John is a pre-sales technical resource for Enterprise accounts covering the
Indiana and Central Illinois customers in the Midwest district at Microsoft.

Prior to joining Microsoft, John managed the Datacenter Technology team at Parkview Health in northeast Indiana. John led numerous infrastructure projects during his 9-year tenure at Parkview Health including Windows deployments, VDI, Datacenter management and LOB device strategy for his internal customers, including leading a full-scale datacenter migration!

Sumeeth Evans, VP IT at Pedcor Companies based in Carmel and President of IWUG will be talking about how to deploy OS’s via WAN on a Direct Access connection, managing Direct Access clients through SCCM.
