Join us for a dhamma teaching, discussion, and meditation led by Dr. Usana every Friday at 6:30 PM.
All are welcome, whether you have been a practicing Buddhist for many years, or if you don't know much about Buddhism or meditation at all but would like to learn more. People from all Buddhist traditions are invited, and we can all benefit from each other's wisdom and experience.
The Buddhist discussion and meditation group is here for people in central Indiana who would like to meet others interested in Buddhism and the practice of Buddhism. This is a group of Buddhists and friends who get together for casual and friendly sessions for teachings, discussion, and meditation practice.
Here’s what you can expect:
In our weekly meetings, we have a dhamma lesson and discussion followed by a meditation. Please bring your inquisitive mind and join in the group discussion. The direction of the discussions can be spontaneous and is often created by the participants who show up.
These sessions are not in any manner an attempt to turn an attendee into a Buddhist. No matter what your beliefs, the Buddha's teachings can be helpful to you.
We are very fortunate to have Dr. Usana leading the sessions. She has been practicing Buddhism for over forty years, learning from various masters in Thailand where she grew up.
The sessions are suitable for drop-in attendance, but can also help you develop a Buddhist practice. Please come whenever you like!
