June ILSC Meetup

Ah, June. Your lawn and garden have filled in. It's finally warm enough that you can sit inside and watch TV all day while appreciating how warm it is outside. Your kids are out of school, delighting you with their presence every day, and definitely not making you think about sending them off to camp, forcing them to join a sport just to get them out of the house, or feverishly inventing a time machine because AUGUST CAN'T COME FAST ENOUGH JUST DO THE DISHES TIMMY I'VE TOLD YOU 5 TIMES NOW ARE YOU DEAF?!

Ahem.

Our first speaker will be Dr. Mike Goldsby. ("Please, Mister Goldsby is my father.") Mike is a professor of entrepreneurship at Ball State with a focus on identifying opportunities and innovation. He'll be discussing the profile of a successful entrepreneur: artist, scientist, builder, and evangelists. We're happy to have him down from Muncie, which is basically a foreign country according to Indianapolis-ites.

As always, there will be pizza, soft drinks, and beer to help you attain the perfect beach body.

BONUS: There will be an Intro to Lean presentation from 5:45 to 6:15. If this is your first time or you want to brush up on the basics before the Meetup starts, feel free to come early and join.

This meetup has been, by far, the most valuable meetup I've attended. It challenges and advances my ideas about startups in general, and my startup in particular. I look forward to this meetup every month.

Sounds good to us! We're expecting 30-40 attendees. I'm sure there wouldn't be complaints if skinny stix with "epic nacho cheese" showed up as well...

Is this a joke? What will he be discussing <insert topic and/or rewrite section> ??

    May 21, 2013

    • Josh C.

<Insert topic> was a place holder until we could get a description from Mike Goldsby. It's changed now.
