The Libertarian Party will be volunteering with KIB in the Hawthorne neighborhood this Saturday, as part of the Great Indy Cleanup. KIB will be providing all tools, gloves and other equipment. See more details below.
The only thing left is for you to volunteer! Please RSVP by Friday, April 24th so that we can get an accurate headcount to KIB.
This is exactly the kind of community-based volunteerism that we as a political party promote and relish. Now it's time to put our efforts where our mouths are, and pitch in. See you all Saturday morning! And then I hope to see you all again later Saturday evening for our Liberty 400 Challenge calling party!

Volunteers will be meeting at the Hawthorne Community Center at 8:00 am, where neighborhood leaders will give volunteers all instructions for the day! The address for the Hawthorne Community Center is 70 N. Mount St., and is located right off of W. Washington Street, west of the Indianapolis Zoo and White River Gardens.

Directions: To get there from downtown, follow W. Washington Street west of the Indianapolis Zoo and White River Gardens. After you pass Belmont Avenue, Mount St. will be the fourth street on your right. Take a right onto Mount St., and The Hawthorne Community Center is a large beautiful brick building on your left hand side, on the corner of Mount St. and Ohio St. Park anywhere on the side of the street, or in the parking lot of the community center, which is located off of Ohio St.

Please arrive a little before 8:00 am, as the Hawthorne neighbors will give you all instructions for the day, and will equip you with gloves and trash bags for the event! The project should end no later than noon.

No experience necessary, and no need to bring anything, unless you have a special pair of gardening gloves that you like to use. Make sure to wear closed-toes shoes, long pants and weather appropriate clothing. The We Care cleanup will go on rain or shine!
