Indie Game Developer Meetup

Meeting is in in the new Large Conference Room I - on the second Floor.

Do you know how or want to develop video games? Do you want to help others develop video games?

This is the meetup for you to join then. We are a bunch of very laid back developers who come together every two weeks to blow off steam and nerd out a little bit.

We talk about games that we are developing, games we have played lately, games we played as kids... pretty much anything that anyone wants to talk about.

We encourage members to bring works in progress for critique and feedback any time. Not a member? You are free to come and take part! If you want to drop by to get feedback on your work and scoot on out afterwards that's fine, we are glad to help.

So come on out to a meetup or two, you will have a good time talking games with us.

Please Note that only 12 people can be in conference room I at one time. If we have more people show up we can hopefully get a small room for the overflow.

Just a heads up, we have 19 scheduled to come at the time of this writing. I have something to show this time and I'll need the projector, so I'd like to call dibs on staying in the conference room. DIBS! I also researched around my neighborhood for possible places and even though I live only a mile or two away from it, I can't book us a large enough room at the Schaumburg Library because I'm technically not a resident. The most I can get is a 10-person room, which would put us right back to where we started.

Don't worry at all. Others use Game Maker. You can make some kick ass stuff with that!

Alisa said just what I was about to. And having something, anything to show already means you're off to a good start.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
