What types of games do you like to make? What type do you play if any?

I design all types of games, from physically active games (nontraditional sports) and educational games, to physical media games (cards and board games), to video games of any type for any platform. For me, designing games IS the play.

Do you make games full time or part time?

Full time, unless doing other full time educational projects or work.

What skills do you have pertaining to game development? (Programming languages, artistic talents, animation, game design, etc...)

My specialty is design--given any established scope and resources, I can optimize the design of any game and ensure the successful execution of whatever premise I'm given. I enjoy fine-tuning systems even more than concept development.

If you are not making or playing a game, what do you do with your time? What other hobbies or activites do you particapate in?

Huh? Other hobbies? What's that?

Introduction

I've designed dozens of games of many types-my current projects are web-enhanced fitness promotion games. I recently completed my PhD coursework at the University of Missouri, where I studied the psychology of game design and fun.
