Who's in for Jacques Rivette's 1974 "Céline and Julie Go Boating"?

A wonderful modern French classic. Jonathan Rosenbaum, a critic for the indie Chicago Reader, will provide either opening or closing remarks/discussion. $9 tickets available online. I'll try to get there by 6:45.

Came a little tardy but enjoyed the preview as well as the film. Unique and memorable selection Can't wait until the next one.

Did anyone else go? I didn't recognize anyone outside the theater--the film was really interesting. Maybe next time we should specify a specific place or marker to meet at so we don't miss each other?

I'm not making it tonight either and would love to go another night - if anyone is interested, let me know.

    Greetings Everyone,

Alas, alas. I have managed to catch a chest cold and sound like Tom Waits. So, many apologies but I cannot be there tonight. HOwever, please introduce yourselves and report back in the film. Have a great time and I will catch you all next time. Despairingly..Hannah

Hannah, you are choosing such wonderful movies! I am so glad you are offering these options. It is difficult for me to commit to a Friday night....so I am not yet going to RSVP for this one. But, thank you so much for your work and inspired, creative choices!
