Hannah, thank you for organizing and letting me cut into the line with you. It was great talking movies with you and Barbara before the film started.

The movie was excellent, and though the discussion afterwards was a bit out of control, it added to the unique experience and answered a few questions I had about the film.

So sorry I didn't get to see the film with all of you. I got to the theatre at about 10 minutes before 2. I walked up and down the line looking for Hannah and company but I didn't see any of you there. What an amazing retrospective of an absolutely horrendous moment in history. And the Q&A was equally charged. My friend and I ran for margaritas afterward to help process what we had just seen. Have a great night! I hope to catch you at the next one!

Agreed! And sorry you could not find us, Andrea! I must have turned my phone off too soon. And I too would have loved to decompress afterwards - sorry to Bill and Barbara for having to dash off. In any case, I thought the film was amazing. The panel was a total train wreck though - a real lost opportunity to engage the audience with the director, the key figures, and the scholars there who wrote about the whole event. It just devolved into this crazy ad hominem exchange. Entertaining but not particularly enlightening. So onwards to the next film and drinks afterwards are on me!

Yes, I feel the same way. The film was outstanding but that Q&A was just uncomfortable. Oy... Yes, I hope to see all of you at another event. We'll be overdue for a round of drinks!

My train gets into market east at 1:45, so I will probably get to the prince just before two. Wearing a brown leather jacket and jeans.

Just got my ticket on-line. Very excited about going to see this! There is an article about the film and the director in the entertainment section of the Inquirer this morning. An excellent read to prepare for the film.
