MARCH - IndigoReads Book Club

Meet with us to discuss Pierce Brown's debut novel, Red Rising. This relentlessly entertaining book channels the excitement of The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card.

Darrow is a Red, a member of the lowest caste in the
color-coded society of the future. Like his fellow Reds, he works all day, believing that he and his people are making the surface of Mars livable for future generations. But Darrow and his kind have been betrayed. Soon he discovers that humanity reached the surface generations ago. Vast cities and sprawling parks spread across the planet. Darrow-and Reds like him-are nothing more than slaves to a decadent ruling class.

Darrow sacrifices everything to infiltrate the legendary Institute, a proving ground for the dominant Gold caste, where the next generation of humanity's overlords struggle for power. He will stop at nothing to bring down his enemies . . .even if it means he has to become one of them to do so.

Sorry, I've decided it's too cold out to transit to this (already been out in the cold on transit today). I also have a cold and am not feeling well. I tried reading the book but haven't finished it. Honestly, it isn't really up my alley. I would still like to participate in this book club and will try again in April.

Hi everyone, sorry for the confusion with the timing, we had some technical difficulties with the posting. The meeting will be at the same time as always, 7pm, and will be about an hour long, depending on the dialogue of course. We look forward to seeing you then!

I will come regardless, but I have to agree that 11 is a bit too late.

Why 3 hours anyway? Maybe 2?
    7-9 is better.

I agree! There's no way I'll make it out as late as 11.

8-11 is a touch too late - cannot make it unless changing back to 7pm.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
