WHO COMES TO OUR EVENTS?
Women and men - - - people of all political persuasions.
Included, as always, is an audience open Q&A. Our formats are friendly, and inspire participation.

GUNS AND THE 2ND AMENDMENT:
Featured guest speaker John Cushman describes himself as a “vigorous, unyielding fighter for the 2nd Amendment of our Constitution.” Current NFA Board member, he created the Legal Defense Fund to fight handgun licensing abuses. Cushman is the organizer of the largest yearly Second Amendment Firearm Civil Rights Conference in Northeast, defending individual firearms rights and debunking prominent ‘anti-gunners’ in the national political arena. Cushman is a familiar face and voice defending individual firearms rights on radio, television, and newspaper. Inducted into New York State Outdoorsmen Hall of Fame, he has written authoritative policy statements defending semi-automatic firearms, which are used by writers and politicians nationwide. He is President and Founder of the Sportsmen's Association for Firearms Education (SAFE).

GUNS AND MENTAL HEALTH:
The evening’s other featured guest speaker Grace Slezak, health professional, has done noted medical research in the Department of Pediatric Hematology at Flower Fifth Avenue Hospital. Her research done along with the Head of the Research Department has been published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. Slezak was discuss her most recent research project, “The Causal Aspects of Gun Violence in Schools”, in which she has studied 66 incidents of school gun violence of which 55 occurred in the United States and 11 were outside the United States. An overwhelming causal aspect of this violence has been documented to be perpetrated by mentally disturbed individuals who were either on mind altering drugs at the time of the incident or were in withdrawal from such drugs at the time of the incident
