Hey All! Looking forward to seeing you all at Cord tomorrow!
Since we haven't really had any topics, prompts, etc at any meetings for a long time- AND since it is 'race month' in Indy- I thought I'd do a 'quick version' of a round -robin type of activity- that should only take about 15 minutes(if I can keep focused on time- hehehe)
I'm going to bring enough index-sized cards for each member tomorrow- and when clock starts- we each have 1 minute (or until I say "Pass!") to paint/gesso/write/draw/ink/stamp/crop/embellish the card in any way we want....then at end of minute, we'll pass the card to next person, and they'll add whatever they want, and etc, etc until all cards have made pass around to original owner- who gets to keep the card to use how they want... We'll get only 60sec per card so that we keep it moving quickly and don't think about it too hard!! =-)
I'll probably just use whatever generic index cards I have lying around, they may be white or colored- who knows...
Participation is mandatory- HAAAAAAAAAAA just kidding, of course.... totally voluntary....!! And if you are carrying minimal supplies, no worries, just work with what you have, or I'll have some extra supplies you can borrow....
If everyone enjoys the event, we can maybe start doing every month or every other month- just a cool way to get a little something for your journals that everyone has had a part of! =-)
ALSO voluntary- I'll need to pay group dues to Meetup on June 3rd... soooo- I may have an envelope or 'kitty' jar if anyone would like to donate between $1-$5 to go towards our organizer dues... I pay using the quarterly option which is $45 every 3 months... though depending on my modest budget at the time and any additional contributions, would be great to be able to pay for 6mo at a time or even annually, which is $120ish, I think.... just a thought.... ANyway- no pressure- if you're tight on cash this weekend, don't worry about it- and maybe you can help the next time around... =-)
OK See ya's tomorrow!!!
