Education Meeting: White Balance

  • Mar 28, 2013 · 6:00 PM
  • This location is no longer available

White Balance is an aspect of photography that many digital camera owners don’t understand, but it’s something well worth learning about as it can have a real impact upon the photographs you take.
So for those of you who have been avoiding learning how to set a custom white balance, bring your cameras and learn this technique to achieving better color. I promise to keep it as simple as possible
At its simplest – the reason we adjust white balance is to get the colors in your images as accurate as possible.

Another great learning experience from Greg. The videos were a great help and the "hands on" sessions were a great way to reenforce what we learned. I always walk away from every educational meeting I have attended with some new found knowledge or skill.

For those who will not be able to attend Thursday's meeting on White Balance... Don't forget Cambridge in Colour: http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/white-balance.htm
They have a great explanation. It's much better, though, if you can come to the meeting, ask quesitons, get hands on...and practice this on the spot... Hope to see many of you there. I understand this is Maundy Thursday...; that is very important. You'll be missed. As an alternative, check out the above link...

Nice presentation and practice exercise. I'm inspired to take more control over WB. Thanks, Greg!

Any good links on white balance? It has been a little confusing to me. Can't attend since it is Mandy Thursday in the Christian church and will be attending services.
