How is this run different?

Sure, there are all sorts of runs. We take it to the next level (because isn’t that what Americans do?) You will get completely covered in coorific dust with friends, family and silly strangers, while focusing more on the different color fun and participating in the three mile course,. Doesn’t matter how fast or old you participate on the color run but getting up on the start line to get covered in color.

There are a few rules though (less than filing taxes, more than shampooing):

Wear a white shirt
Prepared to get covered in color
Repeat

The Color

The Color Bash course will designate different parts of the course color zones in which cornucopias amounts of color, Color Bashers will bombard people in order to cover you in color. The different colors are 100% natural and safe as you can eat the stuff if you want but we don’t suggest it (we will have vendors serving food, so you can get something to eat after you run.)

After the race

At the end of the three mile run prepare for a cool after party that will have color, food, music, and of course some more color. The goal will be to see how much a person can really be covered in color as every 10 minutes more color will be thrown in the air. Stay around and have some fun.

These more popular each year as you can see. The two largest events in this area take place at the State Fair Grounds: May 7th (Color in Motion) & June 2nd (Graffiti Run).

Get there very early ~ if you work the events right & use photos for the social media marry go round (Tagging the organizers Facebook Page with a few photos a day ~ Twitter with the correct hashtags ~ Stumble Upon and Reddit), They create a ton of new Facebook Page & Twitter Followers & a ton of traffic to your website. It's all about using the correct keywords in meta data, good hashtags and linking back to the organizers Facebook Page.

The assumption here is your images will have that wow factor, pop & creative comp because the images that are being sold to the participants by the organizers are simply flat and non creative in camera jpeg images.

Don't forget your rain cover for your camera and lens or just use the free shower caps (tiny box) you always put in your bag before checking out of a hotel.
