SPECIAL PHOTO SHOOT: Scottishrite Cathedral

Scottish Rite Cathedral

If you loved stained glass windows and wood paneling, you will love this place.

Your guide will meet you on the flight up the stairs from the entry way (by the parking lot).  If he's not there when you get there, sit and wait and he will as I have called to let them know you'd be there at 10 am.

Many wonder if this is/is not a church. Your guide will be sure to tell the history...so, do ask!  Its name implies that it is a "cathedral", but I'm not sure myself.  I took a tour 2 years ago and was very impressed with the stained glass windows.  Plus, they have a beautiful small theatre with breathtaking wood paneling throughout.  I've been there several times and loved the charm...kind of an old world feel that you don't get from any of the new modern theatres.

I can't guarantee I'll be on this photo shoot....as my plate is very, very, full.  I will if I can.

The guide will tell you the story of each of the lead glass windows in the main hall, plus there are some very interesting stained glass windows, etc. throughout the rest of the tour.

Take your tripods!
