Photoshop for Beginners
We've taken a few stabs at changing the background of a photograph, whether it is a green screen image or a "regular" photograph. But what if you just didn't like the shirt your subject is wearing? Because bright orange is *so* hard on the eyes and a nice, soft blue would have been a much wiser choice. Fear not, that image can be saved!!!
We are going to dive head-first into color swapping this time around. We will learn how to not only jazz up a boring shirt by swapping colors (product catalogs, anyone?) but we will also see how to change a plain shirt into one with tiger stripes.

Eventually, this will become a Focus Group for all Post-Processing. When a poll was taken several months ago, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Elements...were the top three requested.
Most members in this group are learning Photoshop basics (using various versions of PS on their computers). Some members of the group have Elements and a few "other". Once this group gets their feet on the ground, soon..., other post-processing basics will be tackled.
The idea for this group is to get people "started" with Photoshop, providing them the ability to maneuver throughout the application and learn on their own. Each program will be taught...slow and with a lot of patience.
Once the groups have gone thru their basic "training", the Focus Group will change course, and become a time for evaluating, critiquing, discussing various processes used while changing a picture's appearance...for the better (let's hope!) or to make it more artistic, etc.
Eric Scott Miller has very graciously offered to work with us to get us up and running. He will be posting on the Facebook IMUPC page site. Others in the club with any level of skill in Photoshop, Lightroom, and/or Elements are asked to let myself or Eric know so we can have a group of teachers/leaders.
A variety of media will be used: videos, handouts, tutorials. Everyone is expected to bring their own laptop. The Focus Room is set up with U-verse and will accomodate up to 20 max at 5 tables (4/table).
We meet every other Wednesday evening at 7 pm for 90 minutes in the Focus Room of the Attic.
Any questions, contact me: [masked]; or Eric (click on his picture in the Member section of this website).
In the meantime, go to the Facebook page (IMUPC) and check out: Photoshop Roadmap: https://www.facebook.com/photoshoproadmap and a variety of other tutorials being found to help and inspire.
