Camera Basics:

Sundaresh says he's ready to start the new year.

We'll be using the John Greengo Series, which will consist of a multi-week video program that we will stretch over several months (this will not be weekly)...

That'll be about an hour; then we'll open for Q&A for 30 minutes.

Camera Basics is for "newbies" or those who have never mastered the basics, or feel uncomfortable, or struggling with how much they know...

Sundaresh Ramanathan, who many of you met at our October 27 meeting, will be lead the discussion.  The meetings will consist of both video and hands on.  At our first meeting in January we will review the type camera you have and make sure you know what your camera will/will not do.

So, bring your camera and manual...any type camera is ok. Between now/then, attempt to read and understand your manual best you can.

Sundaresh developed a website, "Camera Basics", just for members of this focus group".  You will be given access to this website, if not already. Assignments, photos, discussions re this class only will be posted on this site so you can have everything you need in one location.  (Please do continue to view our other sites, but this site will be specific to this focus group only.)

It is important that all those planning to be in this focus group be at this meeting.  The group has been given an assignment that is to be completed asap, definitely before the January meeting.

So, part of this meeting is to be sure you understand the new website, i.e. how to access it, etc. and expectations of this class.

RSVPs are required.

There are two other sites at this time: One is the all member "Chat" site: (https://www.facebook.com/groups/359379719655/?fref=ts) and the other is the "Camera Basics" site: (https://www.facebook.com/groups/741486142533509/). The Camera Basics special site was set up to provide those in that group specific information, challenges regarding topics being discussed in meetings for practice and evaluation by that group's peers. The all member chat site is for all members to post, chat, etc...but the Camera Basics site is only for members of that particular focus group.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
