Today we will heading to Goose Pond Fish and Wildlife Area near Linton, IN in search of Sandhill Cranes.
Goose Pond has become a gathering area for migrating Sandhill Cranes which stop here to rest and feed on their way north to their breeding grounds. During the afternoon we will look for migrating waterfowl and wintering raptors. At sunset we will position ourselves to view potentially 10-15,000 cranes as they fly into their evening roost. We may also see Short-eared Owls and Whooping Cranes as well. Let's meet by the Attic at 11:30am to make our way to the Plainfield Kroger (by 12:30, 1930 E. Main Street) to then join our tour guide Scott Enochs as we then make our way the 90 mins to Goose Pond.
I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
