Quarterly Club Social (in Courtyard of Canal Square Apartments)

This is a time is for all members to hear more about the club, a time to mingle and get to know the Admin Team, what they do, and what their goals are for 2014.  This definitely is a time for members to ask questions about anything and everything.  Go away with a much better understanding.

Bring a picture (8 x 10 or larger). No matting or framing required...

Two Drawings:   Only IMUPC members in good standing are eligible

1)  Registration for "Conner Prairie at Dawn" on May 10.

2)  Adobe's "Creative Cloud" (This includes Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.), a one year subscription.

Parking:  Use the large parking lot to the NORTH of the apartments (church parking lot).  There are parking spaces along that street (Vermont).  The apartments are at corner of New York and West streets…  there is some parking along the street by the apartments and also in the lobby area (on West street...but few)

Entrance to the courtyard:  Enter thru the large entrance gate on Vermont street.  I"ll be there to let you in.

The apartment complex distributed announcements a few days ago, inviting all residents to attend.  There are several students residing in these, so we decided to offer a special $20 student rate!!!

Hope to see many of you Thursday!!!

I was reminded that I needed to change my RSVP. It's going to be a great night for everyone and I'm going to have to miss it. Save me some cake!

Hi Denise, I've asked the Admin Team to bring something...but would love it if everyone would contribute a little. We might have some guests from the apt complex as a broad announcement will go out inviting them. Plus...we have a special speaker coming from Conner Prairie to announce some new activities, Dereck Young will be there to talk w us re some upcoming sports activities....just a lot for members to hear. I have a full agenda...and we're going to have to cut it short to get it all in.

So...YES, please bring will be very much appreciated!!!

8x10 was minimum. If someone wants to bring a bigger print, I think that's fine. We just wanted to avoid a small image that would be hard for all to see. I don't see why the members couldn't bring more than one. maybe limit it to 5? The more the merrier!

Good idea! I think everyone surely can bring at least one! And, as you more than 5. Framed or unframed is ok with me for this event. If it were a gallery, then that would be a different story. BUT...framing most certainly would be super!!!

Agree with you, Tom, but in our Admin meeting we voted to have 8x10s...and I believe one each. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Tim... Wonder if my picture of the car that spun out in the snow and then caught on fire...and later put out by the fire department... Would that count??? It's snow! It's transportation!!!!

Rather than 8X10's more photos can be shown if we use USB flashdrives and view photos through the computer.

    Frosty Monday to all!

For this quarterly social gathering, lets plan for a 'show n tell'- pics you've taken over the winter up to the budding of Spring, which is March 20th! Ample time to still find some snow and winterscape scenes. Please have your pic(s) mounted, 8x10 and details of the who/what/where/why. Also, some information regarding camera and exposure settings. If you use Photoshop or other post-processing, please also provide that information. Winter is the main theme but tie ins, if possible, to our 2014 theme of "Transportation" would be great! Sled dogs, snow mobiles, skis- all these come to mind!

Great to see the growing positive RSVPs! See you in March.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
