In an attempt to partner with the Central Indiana Land Trust, we have been invited to photograph the Family Fun Day at Oliver's Woods Nature Preserve near Keystone in Indianapolis. The Land Trust is planning to relocate their headquarters to this property in the future and would be glad for images of the new property and particularly of people enjoying the property. This is a great opportunity to build a relationship with the Land Trust and also provide the nature lovers in our group a new location to shoot. Those interested in "street photography" (or candids of strangers in a nature environment) will also enjoy this outing. This outing is the last Land Trust event on a weekend for this year so take advantage of the opportunity! There are couple more events at other Land Trust properties coming up on weekdays  (Tues morning Oct. 16th and Thurs morning Nov. 8th). For more information about the property at Oliver's Woods, visit the following link: http://www.conservingindiana.org/properties_olivers.html

WOW! Right in town...So close! The weather most certainly was cooperative!!! Beautiful Fall day!!!
The properties were amazing! Tall oaks, sycamore, walnuts...a bird and wildlife wonderland! I thought the trails would be muddy after the heavy rain yesterday...NOT at all!!! White River runs on one side of the property...you could sit out and watch the day go by just looking at the flowing water!!! The home, which will be converted into the Land Trusts' new headquarters seems to be very well maintained! '
We had hot dogs and smores on an open fire! NICE!!! And, a special guest: a small red owl (cutest thing I think I've ever seen! I want one!!!) I think his name was "Beakey" or something like that...as he was a "rescue owl" because of his broken beak... So glad I went today! WONDERFUL TIME! I WANT TO GO BACK!!!
