Explanation of some Discussion Topics

To all,

If you’re wondering about the recent comments from Nicole Meisberger stating that she does not want to be affiliated with our upcoming event this Friday…PLEASE, read on and let me explain:

Nicole is the president of the Irvington Photo Club, and has been putting a one-man show together for some time.  She has put in quite a bit of time (and money) in preparation for her show which she chose to call, “Windows, Gates, and Doors”.  By a miracle of coincidences, our show this Friday evening is titled very similar, “Windows, Gates, Doors: Portals to Historic Indy”.

We were both quite surprised to see the other's title.  When Nicole noticed the date and title of our show, she wanted everyone to know that her show and our show were not one in the same … but two totally separate shows.

So, although her comments sounded a bit offensive and gruff, she was simply trying to make it clear that there were two separate events and that she was not affiliated with our  event, but would be actively involved taking care of her own…I believe on the same night.

Our (IMUPC)’s is show includes 13 of our members; Nicole’s is a one-person show.  Ours is specific to historic Indy.  I don’t know if Nicole’s has that limitation.  But, both will be about windows, gates, and doors.  Now, how coincidental is that.

To add to all this mystery, a few days ago, I wrote an article on my Facebook about “Accepting Miracles”.  Well, I didn’t have this situation in mind…as I was thinking of how we tend to get discouraged when we’re told NO. But, often times, that opens the door for discovery and breeds good and sometimes even better!

So…I’m in hopes that this strange coincidence…will breed lots of good!  Think of how this can bring our two clubs close, how we can share and promote each other.  I want all of you to be sure and come to our event this Friday night, November 2…Indiana Landmarks (12th and Central) between 6 – 9 pm.

“Windows, Gates, and Doors:  Portals to Historic Indy”

And, as soon as I know when Nicole’s event is, I’ll see that her information is sent to all of you  via our club email system.  So…go that extra mile, take that extra a step and slip on over and see Nicole’s…when we know the date, location, and times.  I know that I will.  I feel that I just found a new friend!!!

PS:  If I were taking a nose count, how many would I count on Friday night?
