8/18/2013 Bill's Status Today, Bill is able to respond by nodding his head. His general condition remains the same. He received a couple of pints of blood, because his hemoglobin was low.

Update: 8/26: I had a small conversation with Bill around lunch time today. I was amazed at how alert he was! V Good!!! He said that he would be moving to a private room soon (so best to call 962-2000 to confirm before going). I left a large picture of Bill in some of his better times (16 x 20) when he dressed like Sana Claus at a "Help Portrait" event photo booth for charity 2 years ago. Jeff Coates took the photo; we enlarged and printed it in an educational meeting this week re our new Canon PIXMA Pro 1. Jeff was going to take up to Bill, but got side-tracked with his work, so I took it because I wanted it there to cheer Bill! Bill kept talking about wanting to have "more" physical therapy. They started some today! It was good seeing him look good for a change! He recognized me and when I mentioned other names in our photo club, I think he recognized those too. Remember, if you go to visit (and, please do)....call ahead (962-2000) to be sure you get the correct room. He thinks he's going to be moved; and don't overstay your visit. He'll need rest; but he very much needs your support...via a nice 10 minute visit! THANKS!!! Keep Bill in your prayers!

Bill has been moved to room 4029, same floor (look at signage on the walls). He looks good and is still improving every day. He's on a clear liquid diet. This evening (8/26): Bill sat on the side of the bed and fed himself. This is the first meal he's had in a month (where he fed himself). He had apple juice, vanilla pudding and pureed chicken noodle soup. He ate all of it.

Bill is being moved to VA this evening (8/27) for the remainder of his treatment. We believe it will be 8 North, but the room assignment hasn't been made yet. He will be transported to their ER via ambulance, and remain there until an assignment is made. Personally, I'd suggest you not attempt to visit this evening...wait at least until tomorrow evening...or, maybe even a couple days, for him to make some adjustments and the nursing/medical staff to get acclimated to him and his situation. (I'll keep posting on the IMUPC website, under Photos, Bill Riggs. I thought you may want this news today...so, I'm posting both places.) BILL RIGGS: For those who are new to the club, or the name "Bill Riggs" is just a name you may have heard, but don't know who he is...this is a little something about the Bill Riggs I know! One big guy, one really big heart! Although you may not have seen him around a lot in meetings, his presence has been there! He played one huge role in our being able to get up and running with the Portraiture Focus Group: giving us tips, advice, and even teaching us all about studio lighting and posing, along with the great help of Greg Mitchell. When it came to charitable events...Bill was always there, even before me...and I'm one heck of a big supporter when it comes to charity! He went to the Handi-capable Camp for years before I ever heard of it and volunteered his time and expertise. He and I were a team with 2 camps a few years back. You could tell his ease with working with and being around this type camper. The club set up a photo booth at the Help-Portrait event for a couple years, ...and guess who led that? Yep, Bill! And, that very same year is when the Joy of All Who Sorrow Orthodox Church (16th & Delaware) asked if we'd like to have vendor space during their annual Christmas Bazaar. Bill suggested that we "also" attempt a photo booth. So, we did, and he led us on that! It was a huge success! Over the course of the past few years when I've gotten to know Bill, he has time and time again, offered his time and expertise...always being that big guy who loves his cycle and helping others! Yes, he truly is a GIANT of a guy when it comes to giving back! I hope you all will give back to him in some respect; send him a card, and if you have a few minutes...go pay a visit (but keep that visit short as "too long" is just tooooooo looonnnngggg.).

Bill Riggs: Giving you a report from Kim Veal, Bill’s friend and close working associate. Plus, I added my own take on a few things. Kim says: Bill has been at VA for 2 days (as of 8/29) and receiving the same plan of care as at MH. (Plans of care, etc. are electronically sent.) He has a low grade fever; his white blood cell count is low. (This is synonymous with chemotherapy.) He will be receiving additional chemo in the next couple weeks, assuming his white blood cell count picks back up. There are no visiting restrictions; so 24/7 is ok. He was admitted to 8th floor, 8 North, Room 8026; but do call and confirm his location before you go. Switchboard: 988-4198; Cards: VA Hospital, 1481 W 10th St, Indianapolis, IN 46202 Someone asked about the "quality of care at VA" compared to Methodist (IU Health), St. V’s, St. Francis, Wishard, Community, etc. How do I respond to that; what do I say? The obvious to me: “A nurse is a nurse; a doctor is a doctor; no matter where they are. The quality of care they deliver will always be the same.” The color of the brick on the building does not make the care giver better or worse. Quality of care is the same…regardless. AND, “Quality” happens to be the name of the game in nursing and in the medical field these days… So, YES, his quality of care will be the same… How about VA’s equipment; is it current and as technically sophisticated, high-tech? I can assure that it is! My husband worked for Philips Medical Systems as the area manager for 30 years. Philips is the leader in top quality high tech x-ray equipment, and known all over the world. He shared with me that sales at VA always toped sales at MH (IU Health), St. V’s, St. Francis, or Community. I felt that seemed strange, but he said that was the federal government spending federal dollars, which is viewed a little different from the private sector! Now…their curtains may not be as chic! After all, they more than likely were not picked out by a fashion designer, but a materials manager employee. But, the same… curtains are curtains! So, given all this, how about money; will he save? You betcha…big time! They’ll pick up the tab going forward. So, don’t fret!!! Sorry I took up so much space on this site. I know some of you don't like me writing long documents. BUT, I want to share Bill's status. And, to me that is worth more than a few pictures' space.

Bill remains pretty much the same with his white blood cell count low and slowly increasing. When his white blood cell count gets higher and more stable, they’ll consider releasing him from the hospital to either home or a long-term facility, where he’ll get his chemo as an outpatient. (I doubt he’ll be riding there on his motorcycle; so if any of you are available to help transport him when that time rolls around, you might want to make that known.) His memory is improving each day, but his short term memory is still lacking a bit. He’s still receiving antibiotics intravenously for a low grade fever; it is lower. He’s been working with physical therapy and gaining strength in his upper body and arms. He says he has “jello” legs; so more work needed in that area. He has been turning in around 8 pm, so if you plan to visit, please come earlier in the day. To my understanding, he is still in the same room: 8026 (8th floor, 8 North, Room). Call and confirm his location before you go. There are no visiting restrictions; so 24/7 is ok. Switchboard: 988-4198 Cards: VA Hospital; 1481 W 10th St; Indianapolis, IN 46202

BILL RIGGS: Better every day! Just in... 9/4/2013 Bill's Status (from Kim Veal): Bill has been getting increasingly better each day. His lab results are getting better everything is trending normal ranges or close to it. He is still somewhat confused, but his cognitive skills have definitely improved. He is scheduled to receive an additional round of chemo September 12th. He was moved to a sub-acute rehab unit of the VA. He is now on the 4th floor. He is receiving physical therapy twice a day to get him walking again. He is currently in a wheelchair and wheeling himself around the unit. The plan is to have him walking and leave the hospital to another facility or home. He called me (Kim) on the phone today. That was a real surprise. ______ I'll be going to VA tomorrow evening to visit and will give you my account too, after that. If any of you visit and want to post...please feel free to do so. Again, a bit of caution: Please call them ahead to be sure you get the correct room number, and if you send cards...don't put a room number...just the VA mailing address: Switchboard: 988-4198 Cards: VA Hospital: 1481 W 10th St; Indianapolis, IN 46202

I just got an email from one of Bill's real estate group and he said that Bill wants to get well enough so he can drive his truck to this event. (That may not be real wise...at least he didn't say ride his motorcycle)... But his friend, Rex, said he made him a bet...if he gets that well, he's going to dress up like an elf! I said, "get that elf suit out, because Bill's going!"

Bill Riggs (9/5): Went to visit Bill Riggs this evening. I took 3 pictures of him. I planned to post at least one here, but I can't get it to upload. So...it did upload on our website's Folder site. (Indy Meetup Photo Club) He does look, like Jeff Coates commented, 8000 times better. He finally was able to do some walking with a walker and help from his physical therapist today. He said "baby steps" and I commented...but that is great; a giant step forward!!! He is anxious to want to get back to normal, but I asked him to please not try to rush things. I had a difficult time finding VA (and I work at IU Health). Once you know, piece of cake...but, that campus has grown so much since I was last there 40 or so years ago. It's a real futuristic metropolis now. So, if you go, give yourself time. The facilities inside are very nice...lots of little eateries all over on the first floor. A real plus for them too...I did not have to pay parking!!! A short visit or a card will be greatly appreciated!!!

9/6/2013 Kim's report: Bill's Status Bill was walking with a walker. It was only a short walk from the bathroom to the bedroom with supervision. It was good to see him walking again. His incision has become infected. The nurses are packing it and giving him antibiotics. He's still very alert and talkative. FYI: It's not going to be all uphill for Bill. He will encounter these uphill/downhill days. With his white count being low (partially a result of chemo), it's easy for infection to take hold. Sounds like they're addressing this, and hopefully he'll be having another uphill day again soon...!

Bill Riggs Update (9/8): Akbar Ehsan, one of Bill's real estate friends reports the following: I was with Bill for about 4 hours. He is becoming more lucid now. We went outside and sat in indirect sun light for an hour or so. He asked me if I knew what a Bucket List is and that he is making one. I told him to make a long one because he is going to live a long time. We had a slight discussion about what kinds of motorcycles he has. We have a bet on that one.

Bill Riggs (Additional info from Kim Veal, 9/8): Bill is remaining the same. He is now receiving antibiotics intravenously. He needs assistance with transfers from the wheelchair. He fell Friday morning and Saturday night during transfer from the wheelchair to/from the bed. He can walk with a walker, but requires assistance. He still has short term memory loss. This evening he didn't remember Akbar visiting with him today. My 2 cents: Medications can be very powerful! Additional medications, coupled with those he was already on, could be causing a significant amount of the memory loss. He started his physical therapy just last week, so to have an expectation for him to walk on his own this soon is not realistic. I'm sure he is anxious to "get the show on the road!" but we need to caution him when we talk with him to "slow down".

Bill Riggs Update (9/10): Bill's ability to walk has improved; but his cognitive skills haven't. He can't retain how to maneuver properly to keep from falling. Consequently, he has fallen several times within the past couple days and hasn't made any significant strides re physical therapy. They have delayed his chemotherapy treatments until the infection is cleared up; they have him on medications for the infection. Someone is staying with him at all times now to assure he doesn't fall. I tend to think the antibiotics are extremely potent, causing a lot of the confusion in his mind. Let's keep Bill in our prayers.

Bill Riggs Update (9/11/2013) from Kim: Bill is still receiving antibiotics intravenously. A CAT scan of his stomach was done today. There is a bacterial abscess in his abdomen. General surgery will be seeing him. He is accumulating fluid in his abdomen. It's believed that he will need surgery to remove the abscess, the excess fluid and to clean abdominal area internally. He's being seen by the oncology/hematology team to treat his cancer. He's very upset that he won't be leaving the hospital soon. If you haven't sent him a card yet...now may be the time to do this...

Bill Riggs Update (9/13-14): The doctors have released Bill from the rehab team as they want to try more aggressive antibiotics. He may be moving to another facility (we’ll try to keep you posted best we can). Because his cognitive skills aren't that great, it's preventing him from progressing further in physical therapy. This is the reason rehab released him to the care of the medical team. The surgery team decided to not perform surgery at this time. They will continue to give him antibiotics intravenously and take another CAT scan of his stomach in a couple of weeks. (It would not be wise to perform surgery with high infection and a low white count.) If he gets surgery, there could be an issue with him not being able to get chemo sooner. The location of the abscess is in a difficult place for successful removal. Surgery will be only if the antibiotics don't work. His prognosis is poor.

Bill Riggs Update (9/15) from Kim Veal: Bill has been moved to another room within the VA hospital. His room number is A-8014. His phone number is 988-5060. He doesn't have his cell phone. If you want to speak with him, you will have to call him on his hospital room phone. Bill should be receiving chemo early this week. Each day he's becoming more like his old self. Bill Riggs Update (9/16/13) from Kim Veal: Bill will be receiving chemo starting tomorrow. This will be his second round of chemo. He's not looking forward to the side effects. He's in good spirits and enjoys receiving phone calls and visitors. Carol's update: I went to visit Bill this evening myself. So glad I did as I was debating on going shopping or visiting Bill (I only have so many days free.) I definitely think I made the right choice! Little thing inside my head kept saying "go visit Bill this evening!" He looked terrific! He was smiling, very coherent, talked about his horse "Caesar", his cat "Rufus", asked about the photo clubs, asked if the Handicapabale event had taken place yet...and I reminded him of the time he told the "frog sing-a-long" and all the campers enjoyed it. He laughed and told a little about that too. He said he really wants to be at the JOAWS Christmas Bazaar...and I told him that we were dedicating that toward him, "the Bill Riggs Photo Studio". He laughed and said "that was good!" The guy in the picture behind Bill is one of his good friends (and his wife). They're making rabbit ears over Bill's head. My poor photography didn't quite get that the way it's supposed to be...but I got it! The guy is going to dress in an elf outfit for this event. Bill told him to "go to Margie's for your costume!" Bill got up and walked w his walker to the bathroom. He had to have a nurse walk along side him...but he held his own. Yes, I definitely made the right choice this evening...it was so good to see him doing so well! OH...the room he is in...8th floor "penthouse"...or, so we thought! It's as big as our Focus Room at the Attic and is a private room!!!!!!! We kidded him about that too! And, his nurses...cute, cute, cute!! He said that Kim brought him BBQ ribs this evening for dinner; he said he had fried chicken the other day. I said that I thought he'd be eating "applesauce". His company pointed out the not eaten applesauce on the bedside table....not eaten. If you get a chance...go visit! I'm going to be taking some group shots and putting names on the pictures so he can recall who each of you are. He recalls some of you...but he's having a difficult time remembering everyone! Keep him in your prayers (they're working!!!), but he still has a long road ahead!

9/17: Kim reported that Bill started his chemo today and will continue with it tomorrow (9/18) that will last for several hours. Other than that, she says he seems to be about the same as he has been. Realize that the high dosages of medication given and the fact this will lower his white cell count, he could not feel good, and may appear to be going backwards with it all. Allow him time to rest and recoup...

Thursday (9/19) - Conversation w Kim Veal re Bill Riggs: Kim Veal: Bill's Status: The hematology/oncology doctors have stated Bill is stable and can be released from VA hospital. This evening I took Bill to Lakeview Manor nursing home. It was hard to leave him there. It's not a place anyone wants to be no matter how nice it may be. Lakeview Manor is located at Rockville Rd and I-465 behind the large Lakeview church. The address is 43 Beachway Drive. Bill is on the C-wing in room 8. Carol: Kim, What do you mean by "It's not a place anyone wants to be no matter how nice"... Is it an OK facility? Is he in a room by himself? Or, does he have to share it? Kim: He is sharing a room. Nursing homes are so depressing. My heart goes out to the people who have to be there. The facility seems to be okay. He didn't have choices, because of financial reasons. Hopefully in the future, he'll have more choices and can have his own room. Carol: Is the person in the room someone he can talk with? And, can he make it somewhat homelike??? How about his chemo? Will he keep getting that...there? be transported to someplace else for that and retuned? I know we all tend to think of nursing homes as a place only for the very elderly (me before too long!!!)...but they are also "step down" units. If we look at where he started at MH in their intensive critical care, then to VA, and now the nursing home... Each place was where he proved that he was getting better and didn't need all those expensive pieces of equipment, high paid doctors/nurses. I know the nursing homes don't have all that...but some (fewer). So, in a way, this is good news, very good news!!! We have to think of it like that! We need to keep on encouraging him...and soon, he'll be ok enough and strong enough to go to his home!!! 3 Cheers for Bill for getting released!!!

This morning (9/20), Kim reported: The person he shares a room with is a young guy who has brain damage with a trach and is comatose. Bill will be transported to the VA for chemo. Chemo will happen every 21 days. It isn't home like. He's definitely getting better. Since there are a lot of younger people in a nursing home, makes it very depressing. Knowing that they will never be able to live life like we do.

Bill Riggs Update (9/20 late evening) from Kim Vale: I wouldn't want to leave expensive electronics, because they could get stolen. Bill has been moved to Room 10 on wing C. He seems to be adjusting well to his new environment. Hopefully, he will have his cell phone soon. Then, he will be able to make and receive calls while at Lakeview. He'll be receiving his antibiotics intravenously. Medically he is doing better. Note: Most facilities put limits on what and how much of personal items you can take to assure they don't disappear!

Bill Riggs Update (10/16) from Kim Veal: Bill Riggs update (from Kim Veal): Bill received his 3rd round of chemo last week. He is scheduled to complete a total of 6 rounds of chemo. So far, he hasn't been ill after receiving his chemo treatments. He still has abscesses in his stomach and will need to start antibiotics intravenously 3 times a day for the next 4 weeks. Bill isn't happy about the delay in going home. From me: So, stop by and visit him. Take your laptop so he can access our websites, or your camera so he can have something to "play" with while confined. Personally, I think it is a good thing he isn't home yet as he needs to be where he's being looked after until this is all turned around. Prayers for Bill!!!

11/9 (1:30 pm): Bill Riggs (11/9): I have to apologize for not keeping you more current on Bill's progress. Gaynel and I plan to visit him this evening (if any of you want to join us...we'll be there around 7/7:30 pm). He's at Lakeview Manor (Rockville Rd and I-465 behind the large Lakeview church - 43 Beachway Drive, C-wing). Since I have been so negligent, I felt I needed to call to make sure he was still there, and if ok for him to receive visitors. I was thrilled to find out that he 1) is still there, and that 2) he was "out for the afternoon" probably to return around 4 pm or so...!!! He can leave as long as he has a responsible person with him. I asked if he was able to walk on his own now, as he was having some problems with stability for a good while. The nurse said that he seems to be doing quite well. SO....we'll give you an update tomorrow (or late tonight). AND, I'm in hopes that he'll still be wanting to go to the December 6 event at the JOAWS Christmas Village & Bazaar! I hope many of you will also RSVP to help out with that event...and to "cheer him on!"...

Bill Riggs Update (11/10): Kim Veal came thru for us as Gaynel and I were not able to make it out to see Bill last evening. I'm now planning to go Wednesday evening. Here is Kim's report:11/10/13 Bill's Status: Bill is doing very well. He is still at Lakeview nursing home. Just this week he has started using a cane and is out of the wheelchair. Lakeview Manor is located at Rockville Rd and I-465 behind the large Lakeview church. The address is 43 Beachway Drive. Bill is on the C-wing. He had his 4th chemo treatment last week without any symptoms. He's still on intravenous antibiotics for the stomach abscesses until they are gone. He would enjoy your phone calls or visits. (His cell phone 317-213-5561). FYI: I called the nursing home yesterday to see if he was there and was told he was out for a few hours with a friend! Good news as he is not confined to being in-house all the time. He can go out with a responsible person!!! Looking good!!!

Bill Riggs Update(11/13): This definitely was one of those days..."Gee, I wish I had my camera with me!" He's still at the Lakeview Manor nursing home, located at Rockville Rd and I-465 behind the large Lakeview church (43 Beachway Drive, C-wing). The nursing home is immediately behind the church...use the church's drive. Gaynel Bryan and I had intentions of going Saturday evening...and just didn't make it. So, we decided that tonight we'd go out as soon as I got off work. When we got to his room...I could hardly believe I was looking at Bill Riggs! I wish I had my camera! He has lost at least 100 lbs and hardly looks like himself. He's not that little chubby guy he was before (He used the word "chubby", not me!). He looks great! But, where did Bill go? He said his weight now is 186. His speech is even different. I was struggling a bit realizing this was Bill...yet, I knew it was. He told us that he no longer has to use the walker and gave up his cane...just today! He said he can't wait to get home so he can drive again. Kidding him, I asked if he's taken his motorcycle out yet... And, he said "No, but I have sat on it!" He wanted to know what all was going on with the club...and I had to refrain myself to not get started talking too much... He asked about JOAWS and I said that was one of the things we wanted to ask him about this evening....i.e. if he felt he could still make it....even if for a while. He said he wanted to go both days. BUT, I insisted that he cut his visit short and not feel he had to stay the whole time. On Friday, December 6, the hours are 6-9 pm; on Saturday, December 7, the hours are 10-3 pm. I think he'll be there from 6-8 pm on Friday; and possibly 10-1 pm on Saturday. I asked if he thought he could stand long enough to take pictures or if that would be taxing on him. He said that wouldn't be a problem...he could stand, and he could take pictures, but reminded me that it's been a while since he has had a camera n his hands. He asked about Handi-capable and I told him that several members went to that. He said "Darn!" I really wanted to go to that... So, next year!!! Then he asked about the homeless...if we did anything for them (He meant Help-Portrait). I told him that was the same weekend as JOAWS and also the same as the Sankt Nikolaus Fest at the Athenaeum, which we will also be at from 12 - 5 pm. After our talk, we 3 got up and "walked" to the dining room. No walker, no cane! We got to sit in the VIP section (not really...but that's what we called it...). Then I wondered "what???" Bill would get...if it would be something non-appealing! WELL...looked pretty good to me! Baked chicken, mashed potatoes w gravy, and veggies. He got a few phone calls while we were there...then said he wished more folks would call. So, here's his cell phone # 317-213-5561. He is very coherent, his memory is coming back, but if he hasn't talked with you for a good while, he "may" need to be reminded who you are. He knew me and he knew Gaynel. I think he is almost a miracle case, as when he was at Methodist back in August.....the doctors had given up on him! I'll admit, I was fearful too! But, today, he looks great and he says he feels good too! I believe he'll be released to go home before too long. However, when there, he'll have homecare nurses come in routinely as he still has a bacterial infection that must be cleared up. It is shrinking, but slowly. So...if you plan to visit, you may want to contact the nursing home to be sure he's still there. And, if you don't mind a passenger in your car, would be nice if some of you would pick him up and bring him to some of the meetings until he's cleared to drive his own car again... (I think we'll be seeing him at some of our meetings, going forward!) Carol

Carol Thompson Bill Riggs: It is with extreme heart-felt grief and sadness that I convey to all of you that Bill Riggs passed away this morning, Thanksgiving...November 28, at 9:55 am. I've been in contact with Kim Veal, one of Bill's very good friends, and Akbar, another of Bill's friends re this. I will post more as soon as I'm aware. Bill was taken to Veterans Hospital a few days ago with an infection. When Gaynel and I visited him a little over a week ago, we both marveled at how well he looked... He had lost so much weight that we both hardly recognized him...but to his good, as it made him look so much younger. He said he felt great! He had given up his walker, and just that day his cane. He was looking forward to the day he'd get to go home. And, of course get back with the club, this time in a much bigger way. We went to dinner with him in the nursing home's huge dining room. He ate a full normal meal. We marveled at how well he looked and all. He shared with us that he could hardly wait to get discharged so he could return home. He planned to go to the JOAWS event even if he was still there. He just needed transportation, which I was in the process of arranging. He wasn't wanting to just go and sit and watch us take pictures of costumed visitors, but he wanted to get back into it and have that camera in his hands too...and take pictures with the rest of us! He said he'd be right there in the room with all of us the whole time, to provide tips if needed. I was so looking forward to his return! He also wanted to get back with the Handi-capable event we've been taking part in now for the past several years. I have some photos of Bill below (click on one and it will take you to the whole selection I put together)... These were in better times, of course. Bill at the Help-Portrait, Bill at the JOAWS, Bill offering his expertise assistance, Bill when we went to Auburn to the car museum, Bill's love of flowers, Bill simply loved people! He loved being around them and helping them... I was trying to carve out a place for him to come back and get involved with us again. With 2014, he wanted to do the Portraiture Focus Group (Studio). As so many of you know Andre does the Portraiture Focus Group (Creative)...but this was to give a more in-depth for those wanting to know more about setting up their own in-house studio, and all the needed equipment that we'd explore during that time. It would have gotten him back and into something he dearly loved. Yes...Bill was a terrifically BIG guy! A mentor to so many and he didn't ask for anything; he just gave freely. He will be missed in a HUGE, HUGE way... YES, sepsis, septicemia, MIRSA, blood poisoning brought on by a serious infection (whatever we want to call it, it's all the same thing!)...and it's a killer for sure. Bill's white cell count was so low that he wasn't able to fight it off, despite the fact he was on antibiotics. Your white count becomes very low when you have chemotherapy, then has to build back up. Having had chemo recently, his was low. I posted the last picture of Bill (rather blurry) as we now have to think of him as in the spiritual sense...and what he has left for us...a LOT! An extreme amount. Bill, you will be missed!!!!!

I've been asked by some "why" I left these comments up. Well...Bill asked me to! He said he had little recollection as to anything that happened in those earlier days of his illness and discovery...and was very appreciative of the fact I had this fairly well documented. He said he wanted to see this for sure. Plus, there are some members in the club who were very close to Bill and they wanted to know exactly what all happened and when. I will post final arrangements as soon as I'm aware of those. And...for those who want this to be removed..., this will be taken down in time.
