Is this a part of the 700 you spoke of? First, I believe I'd ask...what are YOU, Terry, thru Terry's eyes, wanting us to see in this picture? I have several opinions, but I think I need to know what you want first. Most of us all know about the rule of thirds, etc....blah, blah, blah. But, the one thing I have learned in all this is that you don't ALWAYS go by the rules. It's more WHAT the photographer sees and is trying to portray to his audience. So, that has to be the #1 thing we ask. What do you see?

I really like the diagonal compo with her arms. The overall quality is spot on -- sharpness, exposure, expression, etc. I don't know exactly what to think about the crop at the belly. It may just be a matter of costume? The thing that really appeals here is the eye contact. It is direct and really draws the viewer in. Good B&W conversion -- good choice! BTW, the beauty mark adds to the shot. Some might be tempted to PS it out.

Not having been there or knowing any more about the "inside" of this picture, I'd say definitely leave the belly in! This looks like a "belly dancer" performing. AND, if that is the case the belly would be a big part of all this...perhaps may have been the area you should have focused on more than her eyes (which are beautiful!)... So, NO to cropping the belly. It has to be a part of is a part of the story!

I really like this image and her skin looks really good. I wish there was a little highlight lighting on the cloth she is holding to separate it from the background. I agree with Mike on the beauty mark. I am ok with the crop, her mid section may just not be appealing so I am ok with where you cropped, I might have added some shadows there to fade the transition out of the frame. Love the pose! Very nice image!
