The first meeting exceeded my expectation is every way. I thought maybe 3 to 5 people. Twenty metalsmiths and metal-lovers signed the guest book. We are quite a diverse group of people, with interests running from wire-working, wire-wrapping, steel sculpture, robots, steampunk, GenCon, ComicCon, Renaissance Fairs, lampwork bead makers, jewelry makers, instructors, authors, sucessful business owners, place-makers and grant writers and so many of us who just wanted to emerge from basement lairs and interact with others who are involved with metal in some way. The talent in the room staggers me - you are all such important parts of the group, I can't imagine how we could do without a single one of you. You all have your genius that you brought to the room. We are JUST getting started. There is a lot for me to learn and digest to help make the meetups relevant and meaningful for you. So please, keep information coming in to help our meetups have meaning. And THANK YOU all for being there!
