It's time to hone our UX thinking, learn or (brush up on) some essential UX concepts, and have a bit (okay, a lot) of fun in the process. Introducing: the Indy UX Scavenger Hunt.
As a break from our usual format, on Thursday, August 16th, we'll meet at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, break up into groups, and disperse throughout the museum to look for behaviors, usability patterns and interactions in the physical world. Your team will have a specific list of categories for which you will be asked to locate both a good and a bad example, capturing your findings via a smart phone. At the end of the exercise we'll all meet back together to share our findings. Oh, and there will be prizes.
If you're curious about the format you might be interested in checking out this similar scavenger hunt which took place at the Virginia Museum of Fine Art.
Going forward we will be alternating between our core discussion-focused meetup format and variations including guest presenters, case studies and more. We hope you'll enjoy the variety while continuing to connect with and learn from your fellow UX-ers throughout Indy and the surrounding areas.
See you there!
