Welcome to our Buddhist Meditation Group in English. We meet weekly on Saturday mornings at the An Lac Temple in Indianapolis. The address is 5249 E. 30th Indianapolis, IN 46218. The An Lac Sangha has been around many years but their temple building is very new and just seeing it is an event in itself.

Come and discover the Dharma through the practice of skillful meditation. The meditations are in the Vietnamese Zen tradition. If you'd like more information on this tradition, the books Peace is Every Step and The Miracle of Mindfulness, both authored by Thich Nat Hanh are a wonderful introduction to this subject. All are welcome, so come share activities, friendship, and food!

Our meditations are led by Sister Angie (Su Co Thien Ngoc), a Vietnamese Nun fluent in English. To attend our meetings, just meet us outside the temple at 9:45 am on Saturday mornings. If you are new to our meeting, we will explain the simple etiquette that is observed inside the temple.

Sitting cushions are provided.

Our practice consists of sitting meditation, a walking meditation, and a dharma talk followed by a question and answer period (approximately 2 hours). This is followed by a luncheon prepared by the nuns of the An Lac Temple and is provided free of charge.

NOTE: Although there is no cost for these meetings and donations are not required or expected, they are greatly appreciated if you choose to make them. Donation boxes are in the front and rear of the Buddha Hall.
