International TableTop Day!

We are looking for ideas for this year's (and Blue Moon Games' first) International TableTop Day! If you have any ideas for special once-a-year activities, we would love to hear them.

Maybe a "Ticket to Ride" World Tour? Maybe a store-wide game of "Two Rooms and a Boom"? Or, maybe we can finally get a game of "Diplomacy" going...

It does not have to be limited to Board Games - we can also extend this to Role Playing Games. There are several people (including myself) who are capable of running many different systems. We will take suggestions and see what gathers the most buzz and then post that on the TableTop page to hopefully get some new faces into our store.

New to Indy and looking to get into board gaming here. I have Summoner Wars and all expansions....should be around this Saturday and would love to play if there's interest.

Never played it but it sounds interesting

Think a far more balanced mtg-like game with elements of chess and stratego.

Even though things have been crazy with the shutdown of the old store, it looks like we are going to have a great event.

Not only do we have some swag to give away, but the Game Preserve should have a Tabletop Day kit as well.

Thank you all in advance for coming out!

I just wanted to confirm I'm still planning on being there tomorrow, with Ticket to Ride, and a few euro games as well.

Found out yesterday that I must work for a bit on Saturday, but hope to arrive by 3pm. This sounds like it will be a great event!

Am I to understand that the location has changed from blue moon games to game preserve? I was hoping to grab some drinks at new day meadery in between games.

Someone asked about Dominion. I will bring it with all expansions.

If we can get the Starfire promos, will possibly have a DC dbg mini tourney.

    • Ken H.

With us changing venues, not sure DC will happen has a tourney. Fear not though, as I still plan to play some DC and give out the Faust promo cards.

Long as I get Felix, I'm good. Will definitely be playing though.

There was some talk of a massive Battlestar Galactica game (core + all Expansions), a Game of Thrones game, and blocking off time for 9-Player Eclipse.

    February 8

    • Mike

Hope so. I am not too fond of made up rules

      March 30

    • Ken H.

A 9 player Eclipse will be a no go for this event. But if there is interest to have another game. Let me know and we can get a game setup.

      March 30

  • Miles F.

I wouldn't mind playing some legendary marvel or dominion.

Will run a full story for Myth. Up to 5 people. Anyone can jump in or out after each tile, 9 tiles in a story. You will be captured by crawlers, assaulted by grubbers in several waves, fight a mini boss, and finally take revenge on ??. Good times!

Sorry guys, can't make it after all. Business trip is spilling over into the weekend

Added the first events. Please drop in your inputs. Would like to have another Euro and a war game selection. There will be a table or two set aside strictly for demos.

Where can we find a list? Also, is there a sign up sheet or something?

      March 11

  • Ken H.

As a side note, this will not replace our monthly Saturday meetup. So for the month of April we will be able to host 2 Saturday events.

I'd be willing to use ITD as a starting point for a Call of Cthulhu Scenario (Horror on the Orient Express perhaps) if there is enough interest. I am also willing to learn Pathfinder enough to GM between now and then and start the Wrath of the Righteous campaign.

If there is significant interest, I will run a demo game the week before ITD for people to get familiar with the rules. We can then use ITD as a starting point of a campaign. I need 4 Investigators.

  • Matthew C.

Right now I'm planning on bringing in a few lighter games:
    Ticket to Ride,
    Castle Panic,
    Hanabi,
    Rattus

I'd love to do 2 Rooms and a Boom if anybody has a Print&Play copy; it looks like my official Kickstarter copy will not be arriving until later this year.

I'm down for 2R1B and ticket to ride. I might have a couple Kickstarter games by this date as well

Its going to. I am trying to get a list of what people want to do as special events this day so we can advertise on the ITD website. I plan on compiling a final list in Mid February and listing it.

Their registration system is weird. You need to populate all the fields before you can make a listing live. This includes what events you are running. After that, it is all submitted for review. So, we have a placeholder page ready, and this is just the first step.

I have gotten my Demo Team approval from Plaid Hat Games. I will likely be running Mice and Mystics along with some Summoner Wars as well. If you like the Duke, Summoner Wars is a logical progression.

    January 31

  • Ken H.

If Heroes of Normandie arrives, will have a demo table setup for it. Should also have Relic Knights available.

    January 30

  • Dave W.

I'm always good for Diplomacy. I also enjoy Combat Commander (and other wargames), Twilight Imperium 3, 1775, and I'd like to try Twilight Struggle. I also do a fair number of RPG's every now and again.

    January 22, 2014

    • Dave W.

I have a copy of the AH version from 20-30 years ago or so... but I am offering to run the game a Whosyercon also.

      January 28

    • Ken H.

I may know of someone, who can print up a large scale map. Will post more if I can get some concrete details.

      January 30

  • Matthew C.

I'd love to get some 2R1B in. If the kickstarter is in by then, I should even have my copy.

I'm also willing to do some demos of Ticket to Ride and/or other games. I'll figure out more specifics when it's not 3 months out ;)

    January 23, 2014

    • Dave W.

      What is 2R1B?

      January 28

    • Matthew C.

Two Rooms and a Boom. It's a large party game, which supports like 10 to 20 people.
