Tell us a little about your writing career.

I've dabbled off and on with writing ever since college, but most of my work has been either expository or reflective. I'd like to branch out and explore writing creatively.

Who are your literary influences?

Given that I haven't written much fiction, I can't say easily what my influences would be, but I count Robert Penn Warren and Christoper Moore among my favorites.

What do you hope to gain from our monthly workshop?

I want to move outside my comfort zone and push myself to write more spontaneously, finding a voice that is my own.

I am 45 year-old software engineer who makes his home on the south side of Indianapolis.
