The only good unlocked phone/no subscription deals (i.e., 80% or less
of full price) I found were on eBay.. The other day, I was lucky
enough to close a bid for about 70% full price on a Droid X - except,
though advertised as brand new, it arrived with a cracked screen. I
was able to get some money back (not a full refund, since apparently
that does not apply unless the entire phone were broken or lost in
mail), but -- caveat emptor.

For AT&T... Amazon has the HTC Aria http://amzn.to/aY...­ for free and
their Samsung Galaxy S (Captivate) for[masked]http://amzn.to/dm...­
but these are contract plans
