Intermediate Android Instructor - Silicon Valley, CA.


This is a part-time contract teaching position. We expect to host one weekend training session per month. That will be two 8-hour days per month. We will need an instructor to start as early as mid November, 2010.

We are looking for an instructor to conduct a hands-on, fast-track Android Training course designed to provide developers essential skills to develop applications on Android mobile platform. This intermediate course will cover Android platform architecture (brief overview), UI, widgets, 2D graphics, sensors, components, SQLite DB, location services, audio, an more. Throughout the course, the attendees learn from examples and exercises, and they will develop a an Android application. Eclipse and Android SDK 2.0 or higher are used throughout the training.

1.Deliver formal classroom lectures on intermediate Android programming
2.Create training course content, course materials, examples, sample projects, demos, etc.

Job Requirements
1.BS in Computer Science, MS preferred
2.Minimum three years of experience with Java programming
3.Minimum two years of experience with Android (min. 1 year), CSS, HTML, & JavaScript programming
4.Minimum one year teaching experience, programming preferred
5.Minimum three Android applications on the Android Market
6.Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal (20-minute formal classroom presentation delivery is required as part of the interview process)
