What's your background & reasons for joining?

Meeting others, learning about new technology and ways of translating this into common solutions that work on the ground.

What would you like to get out of the group - particular interests etc?

Look to having fun and sharing ideas with likeminded people interested in advancing humanitarian assistance. Looking forward to learning more about: Web-mobile applications that improve humanitarian service delivery. Ways of ensuring a common approach / architecture between humanitarian responders. Methods for de-risking technological investment for humanitarian agencies. Methods for standardising digital assessment & reporting via automated data collection & analysis. Tools for linking NGOs to the big data / analytics nervous system. Practical ideas that enable disaster affected communities to turn this data into useful information.

Introduction

Hi, I work for a non-profit called apt-info that that bridges the gap between technology providers and humanitarian aid agencies. I previously worked with NGOs + UN & look forward to networking with others interested in creating practical solutions.
